Roxette Live in Cape Town, South Africa

Dear Internet

OMG! I saw Roxette live!! GOLDEN CIRCLE BABY! And I have only been waiting since the 80s to see them! I was so overwhelmed that I could not even cry! HAHA!

On a more serious note - I have been listening to Roxette since I was very young. My dad introduced me to their music. We spent weekends listening to their tunes. Unfortunately, my dad passed away early in 2007. I have been such a mess since then, and my friends think I have not dealt with the loss. But, I mean, does one ever really deal with it? Now, the reason that I mentioned this, is that Roxette played in Cape Town on 08 June a.k.a My Dad's birthday.

It was such a wonderful experience to see them live, to sing all these songs with them and reminisce about my dad and I frolicking to the beat of their awesomeness.
What made this experience even more special, was the fact that my soulmate lady friend (pic attached) was there to share it all with me (^__^)

It is times like these where I really do feel that there is a greater power that has an effect on our lives as we know it.

After this, my soulmate Lady friend and I went to the Northern Suburbs for some Psytrance stomping. There are always the most oddest people at these gatherings... The one guy asked me to escort him to the bathroom (WTF), and some other guy told me about how I look like a Chinese fighter girl. Then some other oke yells at me and screams, "JUST SAY YES", whilst nodding his head viciously . I politely counter-nodded. And this seemed to please the young dread-headed stomper.

People really do entertain me more that alcohol does.

Anyway Internet, that's my update for now.

PS. RECYCLE!

Love, Cat (=^_^=)

The Avengers and stuff

Dear Internet

Please accept this picture of me, highly enthralled by the movie I just watched in 3D, namely THE AVENGERS. Non-courtesy 3D glasses included.

So today was Sunday, and time for my 2nd blog post. I went for a 12 o'clock run (in the hopes of gaining a better body before Monday), and watched this flipping awesome movie. The graphics were great and the story line exactly what is to be expected of a super-hero flick. Damn exciting and hilarious none-the-less. The Hulk sure has an incredible (LoL) sense of humour!

What I did however realize,  is that I am hopelessly infatuated with Robert Downey Jr. Damn that man got game... Grrrr. I am by no means an obsessed fan, I merely admire his structural physicality and sharp wit. Even if it is only the wit of the characters he plays. I will design my Dream Downey to suit my personal taste :P

Ahem.

Moving on...

As per every Sunday evening, my ritual is to psyche myself up for a week of excellent eating habits and strenuous exercise routines. It has failed horribly every week so far ever. Therefore dear Internet, I will make a solemn vow to you that I shall try my best for the first time during this coming week. I shall post my progress as it happens. If no progress is made, this vow is declared poppycock and we shall never speak of this again.

In the meantime, a pic of Dream Downey (with some foreign language) for all the pervs out there :)

I am new to this....

Dear Internet

My name is Cat. How are you today?

Erm, so this is my blog, and I chose the font 'Arial'. It is plain, and uncomplicated. Just as I wish my life was. This blog is what I chose as my 2nd creative outlet (knitting was 1st??) after a series of frustrating (work), heartbreaking (love), home wrecking (stupid people), anxiety ridden (my first panic attack ever), and broke-afying (car breaking) experiences in the past two weeks of my life.

This, mixed with my damned past, was just enough to crack me. Well, so I thought... But here I am, typing away on my first ever blog. I have been hearing the term "what doesn't kill you, makes  you stronger" way too often lately. But I would much rather like to refer to my dear (I wish) friend, Mr. Marilyn Manson's version - Whatever doesn't kill you, is going to leave a scar. I have many scars, some of them from trying to climb fences with friends, some are from accidental burns, and some of them, from operations. All of these scars have certain memories attached to them. Just like these mental "scars"...

Anyway, I am hoping to share my freaky dreams, my aspirations and my frowned-upon thoughts with you.

Love, Cat

P.S. I love Balsamic Vinegar
